Engine Mechanical problem
1994 Chevy Truck V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

We have a Z71 k1500 truck We are having a starting/running issue. It will hit and try to start when gas has been poured into throttle body and occasionally will start. If it does start it runs/idles extremely rough for a couple mins then stalls. On a few occasions when we have got it started, it will run really good until it dies, which could be 10-15 mins or more. Could this be the O2 sensor which has failed, or possibly the fuel sending unit? Fuel pump and filter have just been replaced with AC Delco parts, so it's not that. A quick reply would be great. Thanks

Don't believe it's the fuel pressure, because it does spray fuel when it is tying to start.

Where would the idle air control valve be.

Further info on the truck, it is a 5.7 350, does not have a vortech engine or a mass airflow sensor.

Thanks for the help.

You need to check the fuel pressure with a fuel pressure gauge designed for your system and comeback with the readings before I can continue to assist just bcuz its spraying fuel it doesn't mean its the correct fuel pressure, Your shot
