1993 Chevy Truck front axle not ingaging

When I put the truck in 4wd the front axle does not ingage, and the indicator light does not come on. I have replaced the 4wd actuator with a brand new one, and checked the fuse under the dash, it is good. What else can it be?

Did you check for power and ground at actuator? Just run a test light across the 2 terminals and get back to me.

Hi there,

Not so much a head gasket, but if seriously over full you could experience seal failure, as the crank case pressure could rise due to the excess oil level a leak could occur, but just a a little overfull should not be an issue.
