1991 Chevy Truck not charging

91 chev k2500 5.7 350. Battery dead jumped it let run for about 45 min. Got to work shut off and tried to restart. Dead. Left work had to jump it went to auto parts store had alt and battery checked. All fine. Went home shut off and tried to restart dead. Jumped it and checked voltage output from alt. Jumped betweed 0-13 reved upt engine to about 2200 rpm then voltage started droping fast till engine died about 9 volts. Jumped it again and checked alt voltage. 14.27v let it run for a while then died. Bought new alt and no voltage output.

Welcome to the forum, thanks for the donation. Were you testing at the battery posts or alternator bat terminal? I have seen faulty alternators right out of the box. Wiring circuits, excite voltage to the alternator or bat terminal circuit. You shouldn't charge a down battery with the alternator, put a charger on it.
