I have an old work truck that I use 3-4 times a month to haul stuff. I put a new battery in last June. Yesterday when I went to start it I heard a "click" 2-3 times and then nothing. I put in a new battery and the same result. I then tried to jump start the truck with the same result. IS IT THE ALTERNATOR?

Sounds more like a starting circuit problem-

Check for power at the solenoid small purple wire-power there replace the starter-No power backtrack it to the transmission neutral safety switch and ignition switch.

Double check all connections make sure its clean and tight.
