I have a 1987 Chevy Celebrity v6 that has 144,000 miles on it, I am having problems with it smoking. Took it in to the shop replaced the fuel filter, oil pressure switch, spark plug wires, spark plugs, oil filter, air filter, pcv valve, oil pan gasket oh and the power steering pump.
The mechanic told me the problem with the smoking was fixed after he did the items mentioned above.
Well it's still smoking, it doesn't start smoking until 5 or 10 minutes after the car has been running, it's a white smoke(it isn't so bad that I can't see behind me) seems to become worse when I brake.
I am getting upset with this since we have only owned the car for 3 months and spent alot of money so far on repairs. We replaced both front and back brakes within the first month after buying it. That is the only problem we are having everything with it, it starts the first turn of the key, when I am driving it has really good pick up, it isn't loud when running, it doesn't iddle rough!
Any ideas on what's going on?

Check your oil and see if it is strating to look like a milkshake. Also check the radiator cap and see if there is any oil residue in the radiator or on the cap. If so then the head gaskets need replacing.
