I recently bought an old chevy truck.1973 Chevy Custom30,350 V8, 4 speed w/granny gear. Clutch pedal goes in about 12 inches(estimate)shifter goes into gear fine but pedal comes out about 10 inches before the clutch begins to bite. Once it hits that spot it engages great. Is there any way of adjusting the linkage?

The clutch linkage on that truck is totally adjustable you will just have to look at it and see where to adjust it but I don't think that's the problem, the truck is very old and most likely the linkages are wore out, check online because they make every part new on that truck you should not have any problems finding new linkage parts and bushings
