Installed a 454 engine in 62 Chevy 1/2 ton. Did not change original radiator. Truck over-heats. My question is: 1. is my radiator to small for engine; 2. do I have a cracked head or leaking head gasket?
What test do I need to do to pin-point problem?

When you installed the 454 did you check the thermostat on it if not do so-

I had no problem with a 74 Vega original radiator for a 4cyl with a 327 on it

You can try block and pressure testing to find where its leaking at-
