2005 Chevy Trailblazer check engine light is on

2005 Chevy Trailblazer 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

check engine light came on
and had it checked the code came up secondary air injection in got a book on it but the book dosent say any thing about it. I would like to know there it is on the car.

SECONDARY AIR INJECTION (AIR) PUMP REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

Raise the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.

Disconnect both the air inlet and air outlet pipes from the secondary air injection (AIR) reaction pump.
Remove the electrical relay from the AIR pump bracket.
Disconnect the electrical connector from the AIR pump.
Remove the 3 bolts securing the AIR pump bracket to the vehicle frame.
Remove the AIR pump from the vehicle.

My gut sais to check the hoses and take them off squeeze and twist while pulling off dont be under it in case theres water in it empty if there is unplug test with elec. Mine was the injector on the motor
under the air jntake tube took me an hour and a half to change out to get tubes off find lines squeeze and pull out and yes I had my face right under the air pump when I pulled the hoses off nasty water.
