This may be an odd one. My wife went to the store and started the car---nothing. I went to pick her up. All I did, was the man thing---open up the hood and "looked around". I shut the hood, and started the car without any issue. She followed me home and about mid-way home (3 miles into the trip) she said that all of her instrument lights lit up, and all gagues went to zero, yet she was still able to drive. She showed me the dash when she pulled up the driveway. We parked the car, shut it off, and went to start it again---Nothing. The next morning I went to look at the car--and the battery was dead. I charged and tested the battery--which after the charge tested fine. Put the battery in the car, went to start--nothing. The lights come on the dash, but thats it.

What is strange is that eveything works when the key is in the ACC position. Menaing, the radio, wipers, yet my door locks dont work at all.

welcome to the forum, your saying the starter won't even crank? Do you think the theft/security system might be causing a problem? As far as vehicle theft, my info shows passlock, that is usually injector disable, not starter.

There is a starter relay in the underhood fuse box. you can check voltage circuits. Did you try to crank in neutral?

Thanks for your reply. No, I did not try to start it in N, and I just purchased a voltage meter so I plan on spending some time on it tomorrow.

It could be a theft deterrent, it makes sense (minus the constant draw on the battery) but then again, I could have multiple problems
