I own a 2001 Chevy Tahoe that has 43000. Overall excellent condition. I do need to replace my ebcm for the brakes. Which happened just last week. So I pulled the fuse until I can get it fixed. I have noticed however at red lights while in drive the volts bounce back and forth b/t 10-14, the rpms drop to 400 or so. and the lights on the radio, odometer and transmission lights or not as bright. I found that when I turn the AC off everything goes back to normal. Any suggestions
thanks

With the brake applied and A/C on while at idle and all of this is happening, if you gently raise the engine rpm to about 800 does everything go back to normal? Others on this forum might know this better than I but is there an idle pickup motor? And could it be the problem?

Im not sure of an idle motor but when I turn of the AC everything is fine. RPM's and volt's. When I take off and drive there are no problems at all. If it is an idle pickup motor how hard is it to replace?
