Air Conditioning problem
2003 Chevy Tahoe V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic
----------------------------------------------------------------
ON THIS TAHOE THE REAR A/C STARTED BLOWING HOT AIR. THE A/C COMPRESSOR WAS MAKING NOISE, SO I WENT AHEAD AND REPLACED IT W/NEW. AFTER VAC. & CHARGE, FRONT A/C WORKED FOR 2 WEEKS AND SHUT DOWN ALSO. A/C COMPRESSOR IS NO LONGER ENGAGING. WHAT ALL SHOULD I CHECK?

Check for leaks! When you replaced the compressor, did you replace the orifice tube? otr the accumulator/drier? Vac the system for 2-3 hours? Use the right amount of oil and R134a? If the pressure is too low or too high the compressor is shut down.
