My A/C has not been cooling lately.

Just received the word that the condenser is broken and will need to be replaced. The mechanic says he has to tear off the entire front end (grill, lights, radiator) to get to the condenser.

And he has quoted me $700.

Does this sound correct? I am surprised that he has to take the entire front end off.

Help! (Don't want to be the woman that was taken in as a sucker.)
