Engine Mechanical problem
1999 Chevy Tahoe Engine Size unknown Four Wheel Drive Automatic 95000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
I have a 99 chevy tahoe, recently the truck would not start it would turn over but would not start, a mechanic stated it was the fuel pump so I changed it, drove it for a couple of days and now it won't start again. battery is good, I can hear starter, pump is still kicking on took out fuel pump relay for about 5 min and then put it back in tried to restart it however it still won't start could this be that I never changed the filter and it needs to be replaced? any help with this subject would be great

Any time you replace a fuel pump you should replace the filter. When you removed the lines from the pump to replace it, you may have allowed some of the restriction to back flush which may have allowed enough fuel to pass to run until it become restricted again.

Ok so I put a new filter in it and it still wont start, had a second opinion done on the function of the fuel pump and now it appears it is not working again. Is it possible that the relay fuse is causing the fuel pump to cease and I may need to replace it?

my 99 tahoe will not start. I am getting very frustrated. I have had the fuel pump, fuel filter, and the fuel pump fuse replaced the truck starts runs for a few days then it won't start at all, the guy that did the fuel pump said that he thought it was the fuse because when i would take it out and then put it back in it would start right back up however today I drove it parked it and now it won't start and this time after I put a new fuse in its only turning over. I need some major assistance with this I am tired of people giving me the run around and need some direction to go in. I know my battery is good, starter is good, alternator is good, PLEASE HELP!
