i recently had a little incident where i slid in the rain on a turn and lost control. which caused me to hit the concrete curb & go over and back into the median & over it without any decrease in speed. i wasn't going that fast, @ 35 m.p.h. anyways ever since i notice my steering wheel is off and now my Tahoe is starting to run rough on the street. I was on the freeway in traffic & was at a stop i let off on the brake and started to barely press on the gas when I felt the 2nd. gear slam in. and for the remainder of the ride home it continued to do the same thing . Also on the road it is starting to run rough, I mean the suspension is rougher, I can feel every little bump. Is the gear slamming a major fix, and if so how. The rough ride, what do I need to get it smooth again, and should I start planning on having more problems start occurring, if so approx. in what mechanical areas.

If the spoke possition of the steering wheel is off, you have BENT a steering part, get to an alignment shop and replace the bent item(s(.

first of all you need the car aligned and tires rotated. have the shop check for damage when aligning. the harsh shifting is usually caused by a shift solenoid in the transmission and you need to scan the computer to find codes and then get back to us.
