Hello,

When a vehicle gets towed while in park it can do quite a bit of damage to the drivetrain.
It can damage the drive shaft, cv joint or even the transmission.
It is likely the linkage on the transmission got damaged, that's why the vehicle seems like it is in 'neutral', regardless of you put it in gear.

You will have to inspect the drive train for any damages. See if the vehicle engages when you put it in drive. If you can feel it engaging but the vehicle is not moving then check the driveshaft, If the cv joint breaks then the driveshaft will just spin without engaging.

If the transmission does not engage then it is likely an internal damage to the transmission. Depending on the damage it might be repairable or need the transmission to be rebuilt or replaced. You could have the mechanical park lock damaged on the transmission.
