Engine Performance problem
1996 Chevy Tahoe V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic high miles

my 96 tahoe runs rough (spits and sputters) at rpms between 1600 and 2100. idles smooth and runs strong at rpms above 2200. seems to get worse the longer i drive down the road. starts fine. recelntly replaced the fuel pump, just replaced the fuel filter, had a new transmission put in it a few months back and they put a new O2 sensor in it then. before i put anymore unnecessary parts into it i'de like to find out what the actual problem is. no codes pop up so i don't know where to begin. egr? fpr? iac? another O2? or something else. i also replaced the plugs, wires, and cap 20,000mls ago.

If you would unplug your mass air flow meter and start it and see if it runs better at the lower rpms. If so then get some mass air flow cleaner and clean it if that fixes it then great otherwise you will need to replace it. Let me know what you find.
