Engine Performance problem
1996 Chevy Tahoe V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I recently asked a ? regarding my Tahoe and an obd 2 reading of 0302 (misfire on #2 cylinder. Now I have another. Could my intermittant misfire be caused by a sticking exhaust valve? It doesn't happen until my truck starts to warm up usually about 180 deg. I've switched plugs and wires but the cyl doesnt change. also when I pulled the plug it appeared to have exessive carbon which leads me to believe the "injector problems" are not really the cause. Please help me figure this out as I have to visit family in less than 2 weeks and my funds are very scarce. Also if indeed it may be caused by the valves possibly sticking, is there a product that will remedy this or is head work my only option?

If you have a sticking valve, chances are you will hear a backfire through the exhaust. Are you getting that? Also, when you get the miss, have you checked that cylender to see if it is getting spark? And finally, have you checked for an injector pulse to make sure the injector is working?

Let me know so I can further direct you.
