On two occasions, my 2001 Suburban will start normally, that is to say no hard cranking...just a quick start every time...and then immediately die.
The first time the problem occurred was a week ago. Between then and today (12-4-08) it started and ran normally.
Today it started and ran normally until I turned the engine off at work. When I tried to get out, the electric lock didn't work. I turned key to accessory, still no locks. I tried to start engine & dashboard was black. Nothing worked. A few hours later, I tried starting again & it would start, but immediately die.
If I rev the engine more than its normal idle speed, the engine will continue to run, then die as soon as i let off. I attempted to start it about 5 - 6 times in a row. At the end of workday, it started first time, normally, and ran fine.
Any ideas? The battery registers strong, and it has no trouble turning over to start...and it was 15 degrees this morning when this happened. It was also pretty cold the first time it happened. Nothing like this before!!
