I have a 2000 chevy suburban. We had a wreck. The car was wreck in the front end. The wreck was at 40 mph. After the wreck the car was still running i had to actually had to turn the car off myself. The wreck pushed the front end in. And ther stroud was in the fan. I removed the stroud from the fan. Now the only thing it does now is click no crank. Removed battery installed new battery same problem. I am wondering if the starter is hung up. I have tried beating on it with a hammer but no luck. Is it the starter or something else could be wrong.

Thanks,

Robert Willey

Hi haurwill, Welcome to 2carpros and TY for the donation Double check battery and connections- Check these fuses Ign A 40amp, Ign C 20amp, Crank fuse 10amp-If all okay test the starter relay and park/neutral switch If you can get to the starter solenoid and short out the purple wire and the battery wire on the starter solenoid this will make the starter engage the engine-If you do this and it fails to engage-you have a starter problem. If it enages backtrack to the park/neutral switch and starter relay-Enough for the time being-Get back with some results
