1999 Chevy Suburban Replacing Door hinge stiff

On the 99 suburban I just bought the the right front door hinge is stiff and make a hard grinding noise when opened and closed. It at the hinge point were it locks in the open stage. Is there are bushing that need to to replaced. And how easy is it to do.

You will see a round bumpy edged piece that rides on the hinge spring just in front of the door with it open. This gets corroded and locks up, it is supposed to spin and bump over each indentation to hold the door in one of several open positions. You can try lubricating it to break it free with some penetrating oil. Squirt some on and work (open & shut) the door many times to see if it will break loose and quiet down. If it won't break free you can replace it or live with the sound.
