This is my first time and I think I know the answer. I drove my Suburban for the first time in about a week and as I was driving I would slow down for the light by taking my foot off the petal - as I did it felt like the car was down shifting. I will try the fuel filter, but it sounds like a fuel pump or my new catalytic converters?

What is your verdict?

Tell me what the problem is? The car should downshift as you reduce speed. If it's claning into lower gears try the tranny fluid.

The problem I am having is that while driving down the road as I am coming up to a light or I lift my foot off the gas pedal the car seems to slow down abnormally. It's almost like it is down gearing as it slows down faster than normal.

We had the catalytic converter and the gas pump relplaced and I would have assumed they did the gas filter as well.

I am going to try the gas filter (cheapest to do) tonight, but I will catch you up in the morning what has happened.
