A few weeks ago, the front left brake went completely bad. We took it to a relatives house who has a lift in his garage, we replaced brakes on all four tires and turned the rotors, etc. We also replaced the backing plate on the right-rear axle. We also replaced the right-rear axle, the old one showed some wear near where the bearings touch it. The brake warning light has never come on as far as I know. Here is my problem: before we replaced all of the brakes, the ABS light would come on and there was problems with the ABS when you were stopping. Now that all the brakes are replaced, it still does this but not nearly as often or as long when it does happen. The light stays on for longer periods of time however. I am 99.9% certain that this is not a brake problem. The Service Engine Soon light also is on... my thoughts are that this is an ABS sensor problem. About a year ago we replaced the brake hose on the front-right... it might also be something to do with this on the left-front. What could be my problem?
