ive got a 96 suburban, and about 2 weeks ago the starter didnt disengage when i tried starting and i overstarted it just for a second. since then it has had a pretty bad starter dragging noise. it kind of sounds like the battery is going dead but after a second it starts then its fine but the drag when starting is pretty bad any ideas? my first thought was the starter or flywheel but id like to get your input before i start repairing anything.
