It started about 9 months ago the fuel pump relay went out put in new one it was fine for about a week then went out again now it is getting hot and the wire from the relay to the pump looks like it is burnt a little. checked the ground on fuel pump seemes ok it will run for about 1 hour then the relay is very hot and will burn out. Hello, do you have more than 1 tank on this vehicle? I don't know why it wouldn't blow the fuse, before it melted anything? Unplug the relay, see if the vehicle will still start and run? I'd use a gage and check fuel pressure, also check fuel pump amp draw. Is the fuse for the pump relay hot or anything?
