1987 Chevy Spectrum Car ran out of gas...added gas now it w

Engine Mechanical problem
1987 Chevy Spectrum 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 157000 miles

My Chevy spectrum ran out of gas while i was letting it idle to fix a leak in the radiator with liquid copper. I tried to start it back up and all it did was crank. with this whining sound. Got gas and put in the car. tried to start it up and still did the dame thing. I thought i may have flooded the engine so i waited untill this mourning to try and start it again and it wouldnt..all it did was make that whining noise when i turned the key to crank

Check the fuel pressure with a gauge to rule out the fuel filter and fuel pump

How do i do that. how much is it usually to get a fuel pump replaced. i put a lil starter fluid in the carburator and tried to start it and it only cranked.
