I have a 99 silverado 4.8 multiport fuel inj It won't start unless I turn the key forward to on and then back to off about 2 or 3 times, and then it fires right up. Any ideas?

When you turn it on to start theres no crank and does everything go out dash lights dome etc.

It will crank over if I try to start it, but it won't start until I have turned the key to the on position and back to the off position 2 or 3 times. All lights and everything comes on

Check to see if it has spark. If it has spark. Then it could be a fuel prblum if it dosnt have spark then it would be electrical (stater, coil, spark plug wire.)
