Hi, I just changed oil and filter in my 6.0 liter truck. When I completed the change, I started the truck up looking for leaks. I noticed the oil pressure gauge was reading 80 pounds.(Normally it is around 60lbs when the motor is cold) I have driven the truck several times and the pressure remains at 80 pounds. Is it possible the new fram filter isn't allowing oil to flow thru it? If its not the filter, what should I look for? Also, is it ok to drive the truck like this?

Thanks Brian

The oil pump pressure relief valve could be sticking. Check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge if normal replace the oil pressure sending unit abnormal could be the oil pump and engine bearings.
