The gear shift indicator lite is out. Or the lite do not lite up to let you know what gear the vechile is in.

The shift is analog. If you look very close you are able to see the letters. But, when the head-lights are turned on, the letters disappear.

Okay, first just make sure the interior lights dimmer switch is not all the way down. If this is OK, the bulb is most likely blown. You will have to remove the instrument panel and replace the bulb.
