Power steering does not work when you turn to the left but is okay turning to the right.

If it is okay in one direction then it is the steering box/rack needing to be rebuilt. make sure fluid is full you can try to bleed air out which requires you to turn to lock one way and hold for thirty seconds and the opposite the same thing. repeat ten times. front end of truck must be off the ground as well. if this does not cure it then it is a box/rack problem.

This video will show you how to change it.

Tell me what kind of brake booster do you have? Do have a vacuum boost or Hydro boost system. See the hydroboost system if the pump goes bad the brakes go too. These pumps do have a problem with breaking the shaft on the power steering pump. Let me know and if you aren't sure include a pic of the master cylinder area.

Are you able to turn it to the right? Also, if it turns, does it sound like the pump is fighting it?

Make sure everything is properly greased on the front end. Other than that, have the pump pressure checked.
