2001 Chevy Silverado WONT START!

Ran out of gas in parking lot. Truck sat for one day. Put in 2 gallons of gold, I mean gas, won't even attempt to start! Not even a sputter! Battery is new, so the engine turns over. HELP? PLEASE?
