2001 Chevy Silverado Hard shift 1 to 2

I had my auto trans rebuilt and it shifts hard 1 to 2 what controlls the shift is it in the trans or something called the throtle position sensor???

The TCM (trans control module) controls when the shift happens. However, the shift solenoid makes it shift. Is the engine reving higher than normal before shifting? Have any warning lights come on?

No the engine rpms don't change, just shifts hard and quick, no engine lights.

It sounds like a bad shift solenoid. I would have that checked first.
