2001 Chevy Silverado driver side power window problem
Electrical problem
2001 Chevy Silverado V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 51000 miles
Driver side power window will not go up. When I press the switch it just clicks. Is it the motor or switch? It has been acting up for about a year, finally quit going up.

Will the window go down? Do a quick check to make sure you're getting power at the switch but most likely it is your window regulator assembly. It is a very common problem. The window glass moves up and down by ways of a braided wire system. Over time, the wire becomes frayed and starts to unravel. The unraveled strands of the wire will bunch up on the remaining (good) part of the wire and gets wedged in the guides of the track. You will have to replace the whole unit (motor & track system).
