2000 Chevy Silverado turn signals

my truck's turn signal on the right back side will sometimes work sometime won't.... also the emergency flasher switch will not even push in what is wrong?

Did the emergency flasher button work until recently or has it always been broken? As far as the turn signal, check the status of the bulb filament. If it is OK, inspect the socket of the tail light for corrosion. Check for continuity for the right rear signal and check the ground wire for good contact.
