1998 Chevy Silverado V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

When I have been on cruise twice and accelerating once it has felt that someone hit the brakes and then my ABS light comes on and my radio goes blank and comes back. You can push the accelerator pedal and truck accelerates. The engine doesn't stall.

Yesterday I turned my cruise off on the turn signal lever to single that out.

So with cruise control off does fault still happen? Does radio face and ABS light go back on and off in tandam?
Have you tried seeing codes are present in ABS? Are brakes actualy applying or does engine like take a nose dive?

Yes fault still occurs with cruise off.

ABS light comes on and radio goes off same time.

Haven't tried to see any codes with computer.

I don't know about brakes but it sure feels like they come on. Also the cruise turned off when I was using it I think from brakes being applied. No guarantee though.

OK. I dont believe it's fixed but for the past 4 days I've driven it without it happening. The only thing I've done is replace the air filter. It did have a small piece caved in on one side and you could barely see light through it when held up to the sun. I just recently got the truck so there's no telling how long it's been since it was changed.
