I just changed the intake gasket on my truck and put it back together. When I repaired it I had to take the distribitor out and marked the metal shaft under the cap and failed to mark the bug (oops) so I i alined it to the marks I made and tryed to start it but it didnt. Can you give me some pointers on how I can go bout getting it back up to snuff? Thank you very much

First see if it jumped time. Put the #1 cylinder to the tdc and see if the rotor is facing the #1 spark plug wire on the cap if not check the timing belt if it is have someone crank the vehicle while turning the distributor untill it starts. From there turn it till it soudns about right then throw on a timing light.
