I am working on 1997 chevy silverado 1500 with the 305. It cranks over but does not start, it has fuel and is getting spark down to the plugs but will not fire, we have changed the crank and cam sensors the ignition control mod(witch is one of the codes that came up) and changed oil, just to make sure and droped exhaust to make sure cats werent pluged, we also pulled # one plug and rotor was pointing to #one on dist. Cap. My question is what else could it be or what have we over looked, please HELP!

Hi:
If you have good spark and fuel pressure and it's in time, the only thing left is compression. Will the engine fire with starting fluid? What kind of fuel pressure are you getting? And finally have you performed a compression test?

Let me know.

Hi:
Okay, if you give it a shot of starting fluid, will it start for a few seconds? Have you checked for an injector pulse? I looked up the code and it's confusing. Check for an injector pulse by disconnecting the injector plug at intake. Using an injector test light, check each injector circuit one at a time and crank the engine. The light should pulse.

Let me know what you find.
