how do i remove the exhaust off my truck to give it the deep rumble sound and what would the down side of removing them be?

Removing the CAT is illegal, by federal law.
You would be better of going to a high performance muffler like a Flowmaster, this would be a relatively simple change and could be done at most muffler shops.
