So, here is my situation. Im fixing to buy this truck but their are a few problems they need looking over. One major one would be that the fuel pump power wire is bypassed not to the computer like it should be but to the 4x4 fuse slot in the fuse box. Although it is a 2wd pick up, why does this work? And what would be some reasons to not have it hooked up to the computer? Obviously my next question would be fixing the problem. :D THANKS GUYS

welcome, the power wire at the pump comes from the fuel pump relay. Voltage for the load side of relay comes from ecm b fuse, voltage for the coil side of relay does come from the pcm. also, there is an oil pressure switch in the fuel pump circuit, once you crank it enough to bring up oil pressure and the switch closes, the pump should get voltage regardless of the relay. That o/p switch gets voltage from the same ecm b fuse. I guess they bypassed something in order to get voltage to the pump.
