I am having problems with my serpentine belt slipping off the A/C idler pulley on my truck. Originally the Alternator was locking up so I replaced it along with the old A/C idler pulley thinking that would solve the problem. For the most part the belt will stay on but every now and then when I start it up the belt slips off. Could the motor mounts being bad cause this to happen or is there something else I should replace or look at on the truck?

It did end up being the tensioner pulley. I replaced it yesterday afternoon and all is running smoothly with no slipping. Thank you for the information.
