I just purchased a 94 silverado as a second vehicle. The body has very little rust and is in otherwise very good shape.
I have one problem the hitch is corroded into the receiver and will not come out. Obviously it presents some concerns what if it happened to break lose while I am towing something.

Any suggestions on getting the hitch out of the receiver?

Thanks,
Ross

Hi there,

I had a similar problem a while ago, i gave it a really good dose of WD40 using the long adapter nozzle to get it well in, let it penetrate for a day and repeated, then chain it to a big tree and carefully bumped it out by driving forward, not dropping the clutch and trying to pull the tree out, just bump, It a few times and it may pull out.

Try using rust reaper on it. if it doesn't work hammer the hitch hard and pull it out. marks idea works most of the time though.
