There is a constant hard clunking in the drivetrain sounds like its in the front differential. I jacked it up to see if I could spin the front wheels but they are locked like it is in 4WD. But I made sure that the transfercase is in 2wd. It makes the noise no matter if it is in 2wd or 4wd. What could be causing this.

sounds like you may have bad front univerals or cv's what ever yours has.

or bad wheel bearings.

is it a rhytmic clunk? does it happen no matter the speed?

how often does it do it?
