350ci silverado. For as long as I can remember I have had strange issues with my truck's rev; there is no tach so I cant accurately say where my truck stops revving, (i dont know if there is a rev limiter, but if I had one it does not bounce off of it) but it seems that it will not continue to rev if I hold down the accelerator while in park. If I hold down the accelerator steady it will act as if I let off and it wont rev right. I feel really stupid asking the question like this, but I don't really understand why my truck is like this or if anything is wrong. The truck will also misfire at idling and surge when the accelerator is held steady while driving. I have an aftermarket intake, an airaid tbs, bwd dist cap and rotor, bwd icm, holley map sensor, accel plugs, accel wires, duralast iac valve, bwd engine temp sensor, msd ignition coil, jegs headers, airtex fuel pump, wix fuel filter. Much of these parts have been an attempt to repair the misfire, but no luck; maybe my rev problem is related.

Wow. Sounds like you have tried everything except what popped into my mind when I first started reading your problem description. My first thought was TPS. I see you have a number of different popular brands represented there and that makes me a little bit nervous, but as you say most were added after the problem in an attempt to cure it.
If I was you id take a careful look at what might have been added before the problem.
If you can have the TPS tested and make sure the idle voltage from it is normal then I think you are ready to start looking at the ECM(computer). You will want to verify that it is working ok before you send yourself to the poorhouse replacing everything with aftermarket parts.
Let me know how it goes.

I have been wanting to try and replace the tps, but I have heard that for this vehicle it is non-adjustable and must be replaced along with the throttle body; although many of the auto parts stores around sell them which is strange if they cant be adjusted. I will definitely look into the tps, I just hope it isnt my ecm; thats not cheap.

Hmm I didnt have any problem removing mine but you are right as it isn't adjustable but it is removable. I took it out to test it because to me it is easier to test on a bench then standing on a step ladder leaning over the engine. ;)

Okay, I replaced my tps earlier today with a bwd tps; no improvement. I still have the misfire and rev issue; I don't know if it fixed the surge issue yet though. I think I will try and test the ecm to tps voltage tomorrow; I don't know how to clear the trouble code that will pop up though

You should be able to clear the code with a scanner pretty easy.
