1992 Chevy Silverado white smoke out tail pipe

Truck runs ok. Just smokes a little more then it should. Adding water to radiator one time a week. And one quart of oil also. Most of the smoke. Evaporates. Truck does surge at idle

Hi there,

You may be in the early stages of a head issue, have a Co test done on the cooling system, this will show up any exhaust gasses in the water, an indication of a head problem.
