Within the last thirty days, I have had intermittant problems with the truck starting. I may get in and it won''''t start, and then start fifteen minutes later. Or I may drive it somewhere, and then it won't start. Then it's Perfect for a week or so.I have a person eorking for me who Thought it was the starter, but it makes no sound if it won't start. He had the battery tested, and it was low, which I was planning on buying a new battery. Then today he drove it no more than 3/8 of a mile, and told me he wanted to replace the thermostat because he said I the gauge should register about 195, and it had barely moved. Help?

Thank you so much for your reply. No, there is no starter sound When it won't start, the lights stay on. Today the battery was replaced, the alternator was tested and was fine. I know it's not over yet.
