overheats on hot summer days.runs great on colder days.85 and below.changed water pump, fan clutch, flushed engine@rad. radiator 2 yr. old. fuel pump 2yr old.when you start driving the engine rpm runs up a little before it shifts ,after that it shifts fine.NOW!that its winter it cranks a long time before[if]it starts.trans still shifts to higher rpm only at first time i drive each cold startup.

Try a new thermostat? Long cranking- need to install a manual fuel pressure gauge to see if it is bleeding down pressure. If it is could be a bad pressure reg or a faulty pump. Has the check engine light ever come on? Have you ever had the trans serviced?

i have put in new thermostat and trans rebuilt 20 months ago.repairman said fuel pressure was ok.
engine light cam on once,no code in computer.put in new battery cause it was 5 years old.so far has started every time.if i warm truck up the engine rpm doesn't raise when i start driving .i am not loosing antifreeze or smoking.plugs are clean.oil clean.runs perfect 1/4 mile down the road.i've worked on cars for years but, don't know what else to do if you can't help.
