Could the reason no fuel is getting to the engine be the fuel pump or just a filter somewhere. not sure if there is a filter in the gas tank or the engine. could be trash in a filter, not sure. can you suggest an idea of what could cause this?

thers a fuel filter in the tank on the fuel pump and one inline to the engien, the one in the tank usually isnt a big deal as it is just a base filter to remove large particles.

simplest way to check the fuel pump is remove a fuel line and turn the key if gas pours out you have a good pump, then hook back up the pump and check fuel pressure at the fuel rail, if you have enough pressure there check for injector pulse or clogged injectors.

how you know its not getting any fuel.
