Brakes problem
1999 Chevy S-10 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 209k miles

Hi,

The other day I was going about 30mph.I heard a little thumb left front wheel. When I stopped at the next red light heard a loud thumb, jolt sounding like some thing fell off the same wheel.Pulled over saw nothing. Then looked at the dash and ABS light was on.No other fault lights.Have not heard any other noises and brakes work fine.Fairly new brakes on all four wheels along with new front wheel bearings. What should i look for?

Thanks,
Chris

Chris:

The first thing I would do is have the computer scanned for codes to see where the problem is coming from. Most parts stores will do it for free. Chances are something has ripped one of the ABS sensors off (the side you heard it from) causing the light to come on. Check that and let me know what you find.
