1998 Chevy S-10 Four Wheel Drive Automatic
When I push the button to engage 4-wheel it will not engage. This happened to my son once on his pickup and the said there was a switch that had got corroded underneath the floor board. They cleaned it and it started working. Can you tell me where this is?

Walt:
I think you are refering to the actuator on the transfercase. The actuator is an electric motor that engages the 4wd when you push the button. It is on the side of the transfer case. Check it out and let me know what you find.
