I am trying to figure out what is the problem. Because this is an off and on thing, i'm not sure if it's the fuel pump. For weeks it runs great, then suddenly the fuel pump starts making a whistling noise and the blazer starts acting as though it out of gas. It starts right back up and runs and then shutts off, again. Finally, we keep driving it and it does good. So, maybe runs good for a few more weeks with no problems at all and suddenly it acts up, again.
I would have thought if it were the fuel pump, it would have gone out by now. It started 7/2007 and we are now 3/2008 - what's the possibilites?
