1995 S-10 Blazer 4x4

I have a 95 4x4 blazer with a auto tranny.When i try to engage the 4wd nothing happens. I can take the cable loose under the battery tray and engage it that way. What do i need to replace to fix this problem?

Check vacuum lines and switch on transfer case
